It is a suite of programs for verifying and calibrating vibration sensors, including side vibration. The programs fully automate measurement, including printing reports. They also provide calibration of the standard through comparation with laser interferometer. The data are measured by instruments on the IEEE488 bus.

Calibrator measurement program
A standard sensor calibrator is connected to a Keithley 2001 voltmeter that measures the RMS output signal and the frequency of the output signal. Voltmeter is controlled by IEE488 (GP-IB) bus and Keithley interface board from HP Vectra PC. The measurement is performed several times, then the evaluation is performed and the calibration protocol is printed.
Program for calibration of sensors by comparative method
The standard sensor calibrator and the measured sensor are connected to the Brűel & Kjaer Type 1050 generator. The signal from the standard sensor is measured by a Keithley 2001 voltmeter that measures the RMS value and frequency of the output signal. The signal from the calibrated sensor is measured by the HP34401A voltmeter. Both voltmeters and generator are controlled by IEE488 bus and Keithley interface board from HP Vectra PC. Before the measurement, the vibrations are set to be at the specified frequency and, according to the signal from the standard sensor, the amplitude is adjusted so that it lies within the specified tolerance (0-10%) around the specified value. The measurement is performed several times, after the evaluation is performed and the calibration protocol is printed.
This program can perform automatic sensor calibration. Semi-automatic sensor calibration without electrical output, ie. the possibility of manually entering values red manually from the calibrated sensor, and the possibility of calibrating the vibrometers are included, too.
Program for calibration of sensors using laser interferometer
The standard sensor calibrator and the measured sensor are connected to the Brűel&Kjaer Type 1050 Genarator. The output signal frequency f1 is measured by the HP 53131A counter. This counter also measures the frequency ratio fF / f1, where fF is the frequency from the photodetector. Both the voltmeters and the generator are controlled by the IEE488 bus and the Keithley interface board from the HP Vectra PC.
