It is a unique system designed for verifying the conformity of sound filters, both individual filters and filter sets. This system is used in the Czech Metrology Institute.
System is used for automatic verification of all filter characteristics defined by the standard. These are measurement of nominal attenuation, attenuation and integrated characteristic, linearity, signal counting, real-time filter work and influence of pre-filters. Verification is performed on both bandpass and also on broadband filters. The system suits for correcting the effect of the sound level meter – to determine its frequency response and to correct it. Values can either be measured from the filter output (AC value) or red from the sound meter display. It is also possible to automatically measure the DC voltage at the sound level output – this voltage represents the signal level, but the relationship between the signal level and the voltage can be quite general.
